LANCASTER, Ohio - A man who escaped from a Fairfield County jail annex will now spend 30 months in prison, 10TV News reported Monday.

Jeremiah Searles pleaded guilty in a Fairfield County courtroom Monday to escape and tampering with evidence charges.

Investigators said that Searles covered his hands with socks and scaled a razor wire fence at the Fairfield County jail annex in February.

Deputies arrested Searles the following night.

Searles was being held in Fairfield County on charges based in Missouri.

Once Searles completes his 30-month sentence in Ohio, he will be returned to Missouri to face his other charges, 10TV News reported.
