The weave pattern of wire mesh
The weave pattern of wire mesh
As we all know, there are three weave patterns of wire mesh: Twill, Plain, Dutch, and then dutch weave can be divided into Dutch plain and Dutch twill.
You can find the brief introduction of weave pattern of wire mesh as follows:
1. Twill Weave is meaning that each weft wire passes alternately over two, and then under two successive warp wires, and each warp wire passes alternately over or under two successive weft wires.
2. Plain Weave is the most common weave style. It refers to each warp wire crosses alternately above and below each weft wire, and Warp and weft wires usually have the same diameter.
3. Regarding Dutch weave, Because of the crimping of Shute wires over and under warp wires is there any open area. It often has fewer than Shute wire, and it usually heavier diameter warp wires than Shute wires. And square weave, the flow path is tortuous. The warp wire is usually larger, and the length of the cloth is run as woven. But the Shute wire is smaller and runs across the width of the cloth.
4. Dutch plain, as a kind of woven wire cloth, it has a coarser mesh and wire in the warp direction and a finer mesh and wire in the weft direction. And it is the best choice for filter cloth with a very compact, firm mesh as its’ great strength.
5. Generally, Dutch Twill Woven Wire Cloth offers finer mesh counts, and it has lower flow than other Dutch Woven Wire Cloth. It packs even more wires in a given area than Dutch plain woven wire cloth. And it usually be made to filter particles as fine as 2 microns in diameter.
