Wire Shelving Ideas
Wire shelving provides a solid tool for organizing closets, cabinets and storage areas. Mobile wire shelving can be moved from room to room and taken off-site if needed. Industrial products made for grocery stores, retail and manufacturing uses are safe ways to store very heavy items. Wire shelving comes in a limited number of colors, usually silver or chrome or a painted or vinyl clad white or black finish.

Use industrial style, metal wire shelving for a contemporary, modern look. Often used in food service, health care and retail applications, industrial wire shelving is a durable solution where storage items are heavy, bulky and numerous. Load the metal wire shelves with tools, bags of dog food, laundry soap, building supplies or items headed for the next yard sale. Shelving units come in four- and five-tier styles; some manufacturers may offer the ability to create wine racks and storage bins inside the shelving. Fill the Closets
Take a look at all closets in the home or office and access how they are being utilized. If items are scattered and stacked on the floor, the closet can be organized with wire shelving. Installing wire shelving on at least one side, the end of the closet or across the whole closet. The shelving provides a place to store small items, loose items (add bins and stacked drawers) and things that need stacking for better viewing and access. Choose a wire shelving brand (manufacturers usually sell a system of shelving pieces) that includes shelving and accessory items for the most benefit---sliding shelves, hooks, clips, hanging racks. Take full advantage of the size of the closet. Use plastic bags or enclosed bins for smaller items that may fall through wire shelving.

Incorporate mobile wire shelving in the bathroom, work area, garage and kitchen by using wire shelving carts. Purchase a slim-style wire shelving cart with two or more shelves, sometimes called a wire shelf rolling cart, which fits into kitchen cupboards, storage closets or easily accessed nooks. Load with special items for that room---laundry soap, bleach, stain removers, iron and spray starch for the laundry room; cleaning supplies for the kitchen; or bathing items like sponges, body wash, soaps, that space and lotions for the bathroom. The mobility keeps supplies within easy reach without hauling, lifting or collecting products every time they are required, and keeps them out of the way and hidden when not in use.
