How Do You Clean Dish Rack?
Even though we only place clean items in our dish rack, it's still one of the dirtiest places in the kitchen. The water that drips from our dishes and utensils can cause mildew and even mold (yikes!). But there is something you can do to avoid this gross outcome -- just follow this simple cleaning tip.
The first step is to separate the different parts of the dish rack (if this applies) including the utensil holder, inner wire frame and drip tray. Then with a mild detergent, scrub each part with a sponge under hot water. You'll want to make sure you reach deep into the utensil holder and corners of the rack to get out any grime (editor's note: a good trick is to use a cotton swap or toothbrush to reach small crevices). Lastly, fill the sink with hot water and add one tablespoon of bleach per gallon of water and dip each part of the dish rack into the water for two minutes. Once finished, let the rack (and its components) air-dry. Now, you can clean your dishes with confidence.
