How to Decorate With Mesh

Hits: 2

Mesh is a diaphanous fabric that can serve as a beautiful accent to your home decor. Since mesh is very delicate, you may need to replace it from time to time if you intend to keep it up as a continuous part of your decor. You can use gathered mesh to soften a room or frame the corner of a room or part of a wall, as well as hanging it in sheets to create enclosures that define private spaces like your bed or favorite nook.

End Tables
1
Arrange boxes, bowls, vases or figurines on an end table in an attractive shape.
2
Drape mesh fabric loosely over them to suggest the overall shape without clearly revealing the objects.
3
Place a vase on top of the fabric and fill it with decorative beads in a color that complements or contrasts with the mesh.

Hangings
4
Gather the narrow end of a few yards of mesh and tie a loose knot of ribbon around the end with a large bowl.
5
Wind the ribbon loosely around the mesh, gathering the mesh as you go, and tie another bow at the far end.
6
Hang the resulting gathered length of mesh over a mantel, doorway or window. You can also wind it around a Christmas tree or up a banister for a festive decorative touch.
