Welding tools stolen
POLICE in Haverhill are appealing for information after welding equipment was stolen from an address in Boyton Close.
Between 5.30pm on Monday, April 30 and 7am the next day offenders forced entry to a detached garage by cutting a padlock.
Various welding items were stolen, including a red Clark welder model L160CN with copper regulator attached, a Green Adams 9 litre gas bottle and a solar powered welding helmet with red and white pinstripe design on the sides,
Police are urging everyone to use the following crime prevention tips:
Do not neglect the hinge either side of a door and use security screws or bolts through the fixings.
Fit good quality mortice locks or padlocks one third up and one third down on the door to reduce the leverage available.
Secure the windows with a welded mesh panels or a crime shield product secured from the inside, remove the window if not required. Fit a security light and shed alarm.
Use padlocks and chains to secure high value items including power tools, lawnmowers and cycles to an anchor and each other.
Overtly security mark your property with your house number and postcode.
