How to Measure Wire Wall Baskets

To measure the size of your wire wall basket, you will need to measure the length, width, and depth with a tape measure.

Measuring the Length of the Wire Wall Basket

Place the basket onto a table. Place the end of the tape measure next to the basket's top end. A flat measurement will help your measuring to be exact. The length measurement is the longest measurement from one point to another on any object. In measuring objects, sometimes the length is also the height measurement.

Hold the end of the tape measure against the table, with the tape measure end aligned with the basket's top end Stretch the tape measure flat against the table, along the side of the wire basket, to the basket's bottom end. Tape measures are used to measure length, width, and depth.

Look at the inch number/measurement that aligns with the basket's bottom end. Write the length measurement onto paper with a pencil. According to Quality Logo Products, the top half of a tape measure is divided into inches and feet. The bottom half uses metric measurements of millimeters, centimeters, and meters.
