Galvanized welded Wire fabric
1. Introduction:
Welded wire fabric is a steel reinforcement material in concrete. The mesh is used for replacing the traditional "cut & bend" and placing of steel thermo-mechanical treated bars. The mesh is an electric fusion welded prefabricated reinforcement consisting of a series of parallel longitudinal wires with accurate spacing welded to cross wires at the required spacing. Machines are used to produce the mesh with precise dimensional control. The product results in considerable savings in time, labor and money.
2. Galvanized welded Wire fabric material: low-carbon wire, Stainless Steel wire, Galvanized wire, etc.
3. Welded wire fabric can be classified into four major types:
3.1 Rectangular Welded Mesh with wires crossed in a form of a rectangle, and longitudinal wire as the supporting one;
3.2 Square opening welded steel mesh with wires crossed in a form of a square, and both longitudinal and transversal wires as supporting ones;
3.3 Welded wire fabric for vertical wall building;
3.4 Special type.
4. Applications of Galvanized welded Wire fabric:
It can be used in concrete reinforcing. Concrete is one of the more common materials used in the construction of commercial buildings. Its properties make concrete an excellent choice for steel structures, cladding systems and floor slabs on grade.
Although concrete is an excellent building material and is extremely strong in compression, it has one limitation - concrete is weak in tension. By combining concrete with material that is strong in tension, we can create a composite that greatly reinforced. This type of steel reinforcement used in concrete is welded reinforcement mesh (WRM) or welded wire fabric (WWF).
